ヨシダ珈琲豆店のある奈良市では、3月1日から14日までの２週間、東大寺二月堂にて「お水取り」と呼ばれる仏教行事が執り行われます。
お水取りの正式名称は
「十一面 悔過法要 (けか ほうよう）」
選ばれた11人のお坊さまが私たちの罪を一身に背負ってお堂に上ります。752年以来、二月堂が焼失した時でさえ絶えることなく毎年行われてきました。
お水取りが終わると春が来ると言われています。

元・新薬師寺住職。お水取りには練行衆としても参籠されました。
お水取りの書画は多くありますが、住職の描くお水取りは実際に参籠した僧の視点から描かれた点で興味深く、また貴重だと思います。

Omizutori (お水取り) is the commonly used name for Shunie, a series of repentance rituals held annually from March 1 to 14 at Nigatsudo Hall of Todaiji Temple. It has been held every year for over 1250 years since A.D.752. It is said that spring will come when Omizutori is finished.
Ryusho Fukuoka (1902-1981)
Former chief priest of Shin Yakushiji Temple. He also participated in Omizutori as a “Rengyo-shu”.There are many paintings of Omizutori, but his picture is unique and valuable in that it was drawn by the perspective from inside as a prayer.
Precautions for use :
Because the ends left uncut (it is traditional way to use ), there will be some fraying. However, it will settle down naturally.Because of Special dyeing
